Criteria for beneficiary selection for setting
up of Community Bio-gas Plant (CBPs)/ Institutional Bio-gas Plant (IBPs)
As a part of implementation strategy suggested , the beneficiary
selection criterion is mentioned here as under :

Site Selection Criteria |
- Dispute free land ( 20 M * 20 M)
availability free of cost for plant installation
- Adequate Source of Potable/
drinking water
- Three phase Electricity
connection in the beneficiary premises.
- Sufficient dung/ feed material
availability For desired capacity
- Soil strata – Normal / black
cotton soil/ Soft rock & hard rock
- Ground water table should not be
less than 25 feet.
- Gaushala / panjrapole site
conditions :
- Gaushal / panjrapole will not
get more than two plants.
- Gaushalasheds should have
pacca flooring.
