GEDA has been implementing Community ,
Institutional & Night soil based Bio-gas plants (CBP/IBP/NBPs)
programme consisting of various capacities / size
bio-gas plants based on animal dung , night soil
and alternative feed stocks (i.e. canteen waste /
Agro food processing industry wastes etc.) Large
size plants of various capacities i.e. 15 m3/day
to 85m3/day ) plants are being installed to meet
the cooking fuel needs of the households in the
villages/Temples/ staff of Gaushla & Panjrapoles
Institutions. Night soil based plants are also
being installed in the educational institutions
for meeting partial cooking fuel needs under
Central /State level financial assistance Scheme
The State Govt. has approved total 75% subsidy for
Community & Institutional Bio-gas Plants (CBP/IBPs
) for the financial year 2002-03.
The scheme implementation strategy adopted so for
, was of project implementation on turnkey basis
(i.e. supply , installation & commissioning of
decided plants capacities including Gas Generation
System (GGS) Gas Distribution System (GDS) for
supplying bio-gas from plant site to end user
point and Bio-gas appliances through registered /
qualified professionals adopting tendering
procedure.

As per conditions/ guidelines of MNES
administrative sanction for CBP/IBP/NBPs programme
, the installation of bio-gas plant of 15, 25, 35,
45, 60 and 85 m3/day are considered and the above
capacity is decided based on the Technical
feasibility study of the plant site focussing on
the bio-gas generation potential and gas
utilisation aspects.
