CBPs / IBPs
The plants of KVIC - Vertical model (40- days HRT ) specifications for
various capacities (i.e. 15, 25, 35, 45, 60 & 85 m3/day bio-gas plants
are installed . In case of CBP the 15m3/day capacity plant is not
taken up.
KVIC Vertical model ( 40 days HRT ) plant consists of the following
plant components:
| I)
Digester : |
A Brick masonry
container in which anaerobic digestion of the waste material takes
place and as a result of which bio-gas is produced.

| ii)
Central Guide Pipe : |
A Mild Steel pipe
(embedded in the I-beams structure ) which supports to keep gas
storage container in centrally balanced position. |
| iii)
Gas Storage Holder : |
A mild steel container
to get the produced bio-gas stored on daily basis. |
| iv)
Feeding system : |
The
arrangements/system for feeding the plant with required quantity
of feed material . This has mixing tank with dung mixer, inlet
tank, water storage storage tank and dung collection platform . |
| v)
Slurry Handling System : |
The digested material
coming out from the outlet pipe is carried away to drying pits for
sun drying and the liquid slurry is converted into the organic
manure. |
| vi)
Gas distribution system : |
The gas distribution
system is laid from plant site to the gas utilisation points
depending upon the length of the pipeline and number of users/
families. |

The HDPE pipes of dia
varying from 110 mm to 20 mm & GI pipes of dia 50 mm to 12 mm are
used to cover the whole pipeline network net work. |
Specifications of the Digester, Gas Holder ,
feed & slurry handling system varies for plant to plants capacities
mentioned above.
