Every citizen, whatever their age or background is
a potential target consumer who can be provided
the requisite information and motivational inputs
to become a wise energy user. GEDA collaborates
with NGOs, educational institutions, government
departments and other consumer groups to provide
need - specific information inputs to consumers at
various levels in packages designed to respond to
their needs. GEDA focuses its efforts on critical
consumer groups to leverage impact and provide the
vital Information and communication inputs to
create a climate for the acceptance of renewable
energy and catalyse successful programme
implementation.
Public Education informs prospective beneficiaries
about energy alternatives through the use energy technologies and the adoption of
energy conservation practices, on-going programmes
and schemes of the Agency, operation and
maintenance of RE devices successes in the field,
research and development in RE and environmental
health and other implications of following an
unsustainable energy path.
