Scheme of GEDA for implementation of R & D Projects

Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), is a State Govt. Nodal Agency engaged in promotional activities in the field of Renewable Energy. GEDA is an scientific organization recognized by DSIR Ministry of Science and Technology Govt. of India has so far taken up several R&D projects in collaboration with National and International organizations. Based on previous experience, GEDA reviewed its R&D policy as under :
  1. To take up R&D activities on a large scale Supporting R&D projects Institution/individual who submit proposal must have necessary infrastructure and competent staff to carry out R&D activity.
  2. The projects proposed should be with specific goal and scientific background.
  3. The project should take cognizance of technological development elsewhere and if available elsewhere on commercial term for further development to avoid reputation of work.
  4. Project proposals should concentrate development of new and Emerging Technologies in the areas for R&D priorities given in indicative list given in Annexure-I.
  5. R&D proposals received by GEDA will be scrutinized and PrincipalInvestigator will be called for personal discussion/presentation.
  6. Based on discussion/presentation, Principal Investigator may be asked to submit Detail Proposal as per GEDA guide line in a prescribed format.
  7. These detailed proposal will be reviewed by experts / committees.
  8. Selected genuine proposals may be fully or partly be supported financially by GEDA.
  9. Proposal of R&D project to develop consortium, proposals with the involvement of industries and R & D institution and enter into suitable understanding with regard to cost sharing and technology transfer arrangement will be encouraged.
  10. Director GEDA reserves rights to accept or reject any proposal without giving any reason.
  11. Industry / individual may join hand with an R&D institution / Research laboratory or academic institution. In this case fund will be released to concerned institution that will also be responsible for expenditure and other terms & conditions.
  12. Financial support from the GEDA would be provided to meet the expenditure on,
    1. Raw material components and other development expenditure for prototype development or selling up demonstration unit and experimentation there of.
    2. For scale up and optimization.
    3. Product improvement / Process simulation / know how studies.
    4. Survey / Economic Analysis / Cost optimization and effectively.
    5. Field testing, monitoring, and evaluation of demonstration projects.
    6. Instruments, consumables and other operational part involved in experiment.
    7. Consultancy / Technical assistance from experts in the field.
  13. Instruments purchased for the project and prototype developed will be property of GEDA.
  14. In time / final report submitted to GEDA will not be published fully / partly without permission of Director GEDA.
  15. Technology / Design / prototype developed under the project will be property of GEDA can not be sold reviled fully or partly by the investigator without permission of Director GEDA.
  16. A MoU will be signed between GEDA and the institution who take up R&D project will be signed and the terms & conditions of MoU will be shortly be followed. Violation OR any terms and conditions of MoU will lead to termination of the project.
